Across the rooftops

View from the top of old Cessenon, in the Languedoc.  The town is perched on a small hill.

The town looks built yesterday. Truly - don't all the houses look new to you? Or perhapsthey were just all reroofed yesterday using the same tile contractor. I love the divergence of the roof lines. The bridge would be better if stone though. Maybe they'll change it out.

Did you ever string different-colored pieces of macaroni on strings for necklaces when you were a kid?

@Adullamite, thanks. :

@Max. Sigh. No, it doesn't look the least new to me. In the bottom right corner you can see a new patch. I like the bridge the way it is. And no, I didn't string any macaroni when I was a kid. I'm trying hard to follow your train of thought. The roof tiles look like macaroni on a string? They look like pieces of drainpipe to me, but each to their own.
